TSIFB Chapter 7

穿成校草被迫营业 / Transmigrated into a School Idol and Forced to Do Business
A pink love heart

The next day, something came up in Uncle Li’s family, so Fu Xia and Yu Chen personally sent Yu Baizhou to school.

The car stopped in front of the school gates. Just before getting off, Yu Baizhou took a quick look at the two in the front and cried out, “Dads! I’m sorry for troubling you two! I’m going to school now, bye bye!”

After speaking, he left the car without looking back. There was the feeling of a hero walking towards his death.

Two dads: “…”

Yu Chen: “I don’t know why, but I always feel that Yu Baizhou is up to mischief behind our backs.”

Fu Xia: “…Shut your crow’s mouth*.”

[T/N: basically, ‘don’t jinx it’]

Yu Baizhou had just entered the classroom when Tu Gaoming ran over. “Boss, I didn’t come to last night’s self-study so I only just found out that you have been arranged to put up the blackboard report with He Yan. Let me go, the people who arranged this are really too provocative!”

Hearing He Yan’s name, Yu Baizhou’s body felt like it had been shocked.

He reached out to Tu Gaoming, who wore a puzzled expression.

Yu Baizhou: “Give me that English sample essay. I will recite it fifty times today.”

Tu Gaoming: “!!!”

Tu Gaoming: “Boss, is something wrong?”

Yu Baizhou looked at him with a slight smile. “Nothing’s wrong. Just suddenly want to study hard.”

Knowledge changes one’s fate.

Tu Gaoming silently handed the entire English sample collection in his hand over to his boss then watched him with a scrutinising gaze.

Tu Gaoming thought for a moment and asked Yu Baizhou, “Boss, then should I do the blackboard report in your place?”

Yu Baizhou waved his hand. “No, I’ll do it myself.”

When facing difficulties head-on, there is a better chance to resolve conflicts.

At noon, He Yan finished with his meal and returned to the classroom. There were only a handful of people in the room, with the most conspicuous one being Yu Baizhou, who was working hard on the blackboard.

After working hard yesterday and today, the text on the blackboard was complete and took up half of the space. All that was left was to draw a ‘chicken soup for the soul’ on the bottom left corner.

Yu Baizhou stood on the stool, carrying a magazine in his hand and copying the article down.

The tall and thin figure of the teenager appeared elevated as he stood on the stool. Looking from the side, the curled eyelashes furled like an open fan. With his head facing downwards, the tip of his nose flicked up slightly, and his full cheeks added a touch of refinement.

He Yan looked at the person on the stool and couldn’t help but reminisce on what happened yesterday afternoon.

Thinking of Yu Baizhou’s angry look, a small, unclear smile flickered in his eyes, before freezing slightly.

He was probably surprised by this fleeting but incredible reaction.

He Yan regained his usual coldness.

He knew very well that no matter whether it was his last life, or this life, he and Yu Baizhou would not have any lasting relationship.

Neither have, nor want.

He Yan walked up, took out a box of colored chalks from the cupboard next to the blackboard, and raised his hand to start drawing in the blank space.

But as soon as the chalk fell onto the blackboard, his arm was held by the person to his side.

He Yan raised his eyes and saw that Yu Baizhou had bent over slightly, holding his arm with a horrified expression, as if he was a little hamster that was too nervous to eat its grains while being watched by its owner.

Yu Baizhou wore a frightened appearance. He was initially worried that He Yan would not give him a chance to explain himself, but later on, when he recovered, Yu Baizhou realised that he had actually held the sleeve of the future richest man in the country with a hand covered in chalk dust. He had even left five distinct gray fingerprints.

He stared at his fingers…

Completely doomed. He had given another reason for his miserable future.

Haha.

He Yan looked at the person in front of him. “Is there something wrong?”

After thinking for some time, Yu Baizhou decided to ignore his small error for a while, and raised the corners of his mouth, trying to make his smile look friendly and kind. “Classmate He Yan, you can leave. Don’t delay learning. These are all small matters, I can do it myself.”

Tu Gaoming, who had just returned to the classroom after going to the supermarket, heard the words that came from his boss, and almost spat out all the saliva in his mouth.

Yu Baizhou finished speaking and loosened his grip on He Yan’s arm while patting the chalk dust off, showing a docile look.

He Yan pursed his lips quietly.

He remembered the flower that Yu Baizhou drew yesterday and said, “…Forget it, there’s no need.”

Yu Baizhou heard the unrestrained disdain in He Yan’s tone and the blue veins on his forehead couldn’t help but pop out, but his face still maintained an obedient expression. “…Okay.”

Yu Baizhou held the magazine and turned to the blackboard to continue copying.

At this moment, his heart collapsed.

Just this morning, he received the complete information of the book.

In the novel he transmigrated into, the protagonist of the book was a very talented straight-A student. Since every  aspect of his performance was too dazzling, many people saw him as a nail to their eyes*. They were incredibly displeased, so much so that they went out of their way to rectify him. In the end, the people had managed to leave behind a dark shadow that could not be detached from the male protagonist’s high school experience.

[T/N: also means ‘a thorn in one’s sides’]

However, what these villains didn’t know was that the man who looked like a dirt-poor student was in fact the eldest son of the wealthiest man in A city. To be precise, he was the illegitimate child of the man.

In six years time, the male protagonist would replace his father’s position using his own strength and become the new richest man in A city, and in ten years time, become the youngest richest man in the country.

And when the time comes, the hero will torture the villains who casted the shadow on him in high school!

The protagonist’s name is He Yan.

And he, Yu Baizhou, out of all the people, was the fiercest one of them all.

Basically, the big villain!

Moreover, it was not only himself who got a bad end, but his doom also brought about disaster to his two elders. In the near future, his Father’s company would go bankrupt, and his Dad’s reputation in the construction industry would be completely dirtied. Although the perpetrator was not mentioned in the book, this was clearly settling the accounts. It was definitely He Yan!

It wasn’t that Yu Baizhou didn’t think about running; his rational side of the brain forced him to give up on the idea.

Before he had even transmigrated in, He Yan had already been bullied enough by the original, so even if he ran now, He Yan would still find a way to get back at him in the future. After all, He Yan did not offer his treatment to others. They were just small supporting characters, while his role as the villain was obviously more credible.

Take your sister’s supporting character, take your sister’s throw-after-use cannon fodder*!

[T/N: like I mentioned before, ‘your (insert family member here)’ is used as a swear, so YBZ is basically saying ‘fuck you and your supporting role, etc.’]

Yu Baizhou had constantly thought of himself as the protagonist during these past few days, but it turned out that He Yan, who 008 claimed to be a cannon fodder, was actually the male lead!!

Being reminded of this again, Yu Baizhou was unwilling to give up as he knocked on 008 over and over in his mind.

No response.

Very good, this product has had no new messages since it notified him about the complete information processing in the morning. When it alerted him, it had even said congratulations. Haha, congratulations…

You will die when you come out!

In the afternoon, He Yan was in class when Pan Yi sent him a message.

【Pan Yi: Yan-ge, I got all the materials you requested. I had a part of it sent through email and the rest is on a USB. Wait until the next class, I’ll hand it over.】

He Yan checked his email. True to word, there was only part of the information.

【He Yan: No need, I’ll come find you now.】

【Pan Yi: Now? Aren’t you in class?】

【He Yan: En.】

When He Yan arrived, Pan Yi was playing games in his dorm room. Seeing He Yan, he hurriedly stopped the game and handed over the USB flash drive on the table. He Yan stuck the drive into a laptop and checked the contents.

Pan Yi bent over enough to take a look. Confused, he said, “Yan-ge…”

He Yan: “En?”

Pan Yi asked, “I’m curious, what do you need your slag father’s company information for?”

He Yan thoroughly went through the details on the laptop and safely pulled out the USB drive, then replied to Pan Yi, “You will know in the future.”

Pan Yi sat to the side of the bed with his hands behind his back. “Really, you act too mysterious.”

Although Pan Yi’s mouth complained, he didn’t ask further.

He trusted He Yan.

He Yan put the laptop back on the table and laid down on Pan Yi’s bed.

Pan Yi saw that He Yan had no plans on going to class and was curious. “Yo, so it turns out even a study tyrant can skip class?”

He Yan draped a hand over his head and closed his eyes. “Had to work on the blackboard report with Yu Baizhou in the afternoon, didn’t get a chance to nap.”

Pan Yi was baffled. “Yu Baizhou? Isn’t that the stupid guy who you didn’t deal with at all during high school??”

Although Pan Yi didn’t know He Yan when he was in high school, he did hear all about Yu Baizhou and He Yan. That brainless guy always found trouble with his family’s Yan-ge for various reasons. To him, Yu Baizhou’s reputation was already rotten.

Thinking of this, Pan Yi said, irritated, “Ge, you tell me, did that fucking dumbass try to find trouble with you again? I’ll help you fucking beat him to death!”

He Yan slowly lifted his eyelids.

That’s right, if what happened in the past was repeated now, Yu Baizhou would only bring him trouble.

In the cafeteria, when Sun Tianshuo was kicking up a fuss towards him, Yu Baizhou would not only watch on with cold eyes, but also joined hands with Sun Tianshuo to deal with him. However, the fact now was that Yu Baizhou actively helped him.

When assigned to publish the blackboard report together, Yu Baizhou would push all his work to him because he wasn’t pleasing to the eyes. But, the fact now was that instead of shoving the workload onto him, Yu Baizhou voluntarily asked him to do it all himself.

All of these, they were all different from before.

He Yan’s brown eyes held a strange feeling, and from time to time he would close his eyes.

Yu Baizhou’s appearance took shape in his mind.

This person made him curious, curious about just what his purpose was…

The next lesson was art class, which was held in a classroom in another building. When Yu Baizhou went downstairs, a group of tall, short, fat, and inconsistent little brothers followed behind. The group of people paraded in the art building’s direction. No matter now one looked, wind was still pulled towards them*.

[T/N: a saying, meaning how someone who is eye-catching would ‘pull the wind’ so the opposite sex would be attracted]

Arriving in the art room, Yu Baizhou sat in front of a canvas and looked around everywhere, but found no figure of He Yan around him.

He whispered to Tu Gaoming next to him, “He Yan is absent?”

The original book described He Yan as a famous good student in high school. Although he had a strange temper as well as no friends, his grades were ‘first’ after ‘first’ and he was never absent from class for no reason.

If he didn’t come, then it was most likely a leave.

…No, Yu Baizhou remembered that he had also been absent only two days ago.

Forget it, it doesn’t matter.

Tu Gaoming held a paintbrush in his hand, and said “He probably asked for a leave, I saw him go to the office just now. Also, Boss, I noticed that you don’t seem quite right today, especially at noon. Boss, tell me clearly, was it because He Yan did something bad to you? Tell me clearly and I’ll avenge you!”

Yu Baizhou’s mind replied, “He Yan is going to destroy my family, can you avenge that?” But, he couldn’t get the words out.

Worried that Tu Gaoming was thinking about stirring up trouble with He Yan, he said, “Think about it thoroughly. Do you think he dares to?”

Tu Gaoming thought carefully and decided that He Yan was too scared to mess with them.

Seeing that Tu Gaoming finally gave up on his revenge plans, Yu Baizhou let out a sigh of relief.

The school bell rang, but after two minutes there was still no teacher

Tu Gaoming seemed to think of something suddenly, and said to Yu Baizhou, “Oh right, boss, Old Li* passed on a message before. He said that something came up and he’ll be late for more than ten minutes, so during this period you should go up and discuss Van Gogh’s ‘Olive Trees’ series with the class. It’s just…”

[T/N: “老李”/lao-Li: “老”/lao means Old, and this term can be used for both an elder or someone who you respect]

Tu Gaoming rambled on while Yu Baizhou listened on, stunned. He then remembered that because the original owner had been influenced by art since he was a child, his accomplishments in painting could be narrated for a good length of time. From the age of five, he had often followed Fu Xia to attend various famous art exhibitions, and at the age of twelve, he had already won many international awards in the art world, so to let the original owner go up and talk about Van Gogh’s olive trees was an opportunity that had to be grasped. However, if you were to let Yu Baizhou go up to talk, he would only be able to in-depthly discuss all about the growth process of an olive tree, and the students would undoubtedly be uninterested.

Yu Baizhou put down his paintbrush, raised his hand over his stomach, turned to look at Tu Gaoming, then bent down to proceed with his one second play. “Aiyo, my stomach suddenly hurts, I probably ate something bad yesterday! Xiao-Tu, help me ask for an absence from Old Li, I’m going to the medical room!”

Yu Baizhou finished his performance and used his fastest speed to escape from the art room.

Tu Gaoming’s face behind him was dumbfounded. “Wait, boss, if you leave then who’s gonna talk about the olive trees?”

Anyone can speak, but he certainly can’t!

After Yu Baizhou ran out of the art building, he contemplated whether or not to continue with his act and to actually visit the medical room. He thought it through and said to himself, forget it, just return to the classroom. If he was asked, just spout some nonsense about the doctor telling him to quietly rest.

Yu Baizhou returned to the classroom and found it to be deserted.

He was naturally fair-skinned and had basked in the sun for some time while passing by the school quad. In addition, he climbed all the way to the third floor without taking a break, so his cheeks on both sides of his face naturally brought up a light red blush.

When he entered through the back door and passed by He Yan’s desk, he accidentally bumped into the table. As he was inattentive, something fell out from the desk.

He looked on the ground and found that it was actually a love letter.

A clean pink envelope with a big heart stuck on the outside, if not a love letter then what else would it be?

Yu Baizhou recalled that there had been no scenes of some girl sending a love letter to He Yan in the novel, but once he thought about it, the content of the novel was not in the style of a written diary, so how could it hold every single detail of the protagonist’s life?

Although the current He Yan has not grown into the diamond-like man he would be in the future, as the saying goes, vegetables or turnips, each have their own love*, so it wasn’t all that surprising.

[T/N: means ‘everyone has their own preferences’]

He moved back half a step and reached out to pick up the love letter that fell to the ground with the intent to return the letter back to its place. However, the glue used to adhere the heart to the envelope was probably not that strong, so the moment he picked up the envelope the heart had once again fallen on the ground.

Yu Baizhou shook his head helplessly and extended his free hand to pick up the love heart that fell.

When He Yan walked through the back door of the classroom, the scene he saw was——

Yu Baizhou sticking a pink love heart tightly on an envelope, then, while blushing, carefully inserted the envelope into his desk.

  1. Hahahaha. I hope that love letter has the name of the girl, or He Yan is going to think Yu Baizhou is in love with him. That seems promising fufufu.
