TSIFB Chapter 21

穿成校草被迫营业 / Transmigrated into a School Idol and Forced to Do Business
Really want to beat him up

Yu Baizhou picked up his plate and gave an indifferent glance to the person on the ground, then walked away with Tu Gaoming and Che Cong in tow.

He Yan’s stared at Yu Baizhou’s back with eyes that held some indescribable* emotions.

[T/N: raws used “other”]

After leaving the cafeteria, Tu Gaoming was trapped in his thoughts. He asked with an ugly expression, “Boss, do you know who we provoked just now?”

Yu Baizhou thought for a bit. “I know.”

Not only did he know, he also understood this person’s character clearly.

Yi Tian, the only son of the richest man in A city, Yi Haixiang*.

When saying it aloud, the phrase “only son” was a bit funny, because Yi Tian was definitely not the only son of Yi Haixiang. Yi Haixiang also has an illegitimate son on the outside, who just so happened to be He Yan.

When he was young, Yi Haixiang was the type of man who had a flower heart*. He had met He Rou during this period of time and fell in love with He Rou at first sight. At that time, He Rou was still very young. She only knew that Yi Haixiang was a young and talented businessman, unaware of his reputation as a person with a flower heart. Under the catalyst called love, there was the crystallization of love between the two people*.

[T/N: “花心”: an unfaithful person]

[T/N: or, ‘love born from the efforts of two people’]

However, what she didn’t know was that while Yi Haixiang was with her, he had already been carrying the promise of marriage with another woman on his back*.

[T/N: “又背着她和别的女人联了姻”: either already married or engaged, but I went with the latter since it made more sense with the following sentences]

For a short period of time, she and Yi Haixiang lived together happily, until Yi Haixiang’s marriage partner, Yuan Qin, knocked on their door.

Yuan Qin lied, claiming that she and Yi Haixiang had already signed a marriage contract, implying that He Rou was the third person in their marriage.

He Rou was not willing to break up another person’s family and also despised Yi Haixiang’s flower heart, so under Yuan Qin’s coercion and ‘help’, she concealed the fact that Yi Haixiang would soon have a child, separated from Yi Haixiang, changed her identity, and left a few but very decisive words so that Yi Haixiang would not be able to find her again.

For some time, Yi Haixiang was troubled by the situation, madly searching for He Rou in a sea of people and quarrelling with Yuan Qin many times. However, the time that passed naturally weakened his strong feelings for He Rou, and in the end, he finally calmed down.

The original author might’ve thought that if He Rou left A city, there would be no reason for the plot to continue any longer, so they left He Rou alone in A city. It was only with the ‘help’ from Yuan Qin that allowed her to disappear from Yi Haixiang’s sight.

In the book, Yuan Qin was a jealous and possessive woman. She initially ignored the powerless He Rou and He Yan, but after seeing Yi Haixiang’s career begin to flourish, she became worried that He Rou would come out as a demon*. If Yi Haixiang found out about his illegitimate child, then the resources that originally belonged to her son would be robbed by the illegitimate child, and even her husband will be stolen by He Rou.

[T/N: to mess things up/be troublesome]

The situation blocked off Yuan Qin’s intellect, and after being provoked into action by the people on her side, she came up with a wild plan——first put He Rou to death, then slowly isolate the helpless He Yan into a hell-like world.

Previously, there was a person who aimed to kill He Rou in the hospital. That man was the one hired by Yuan Qin.

Yu Baizhou’s mind wandered up to this point and he couldn’t help but shiver.

Desire will turn people into the devil. This was the truth.

The son of Yuan Qin, Yi Tian, had a character that almost mirrored his mother’s, and he was definitely not a good person.

Although Yi Tian was unaware of He Yan being his half-brother, there was no shortage of the heavy burdens he dropped on He Yan during the dark period of time he spent in high school.

In short, neither of them were good people.

In the classroom, while everyone else was chatting and bragging, Yu Baizhou leaned back in his chair, hands behind his head and fingers lightly drumming his arms from time to time, stuck in his thoughts.

Suddenly, something cold came in contact with his face.

Turning his head, he found a bottle of ice-cold milk pressed against his face. He looked up and saw He Yan.

Yu Baizhou’s eyes revealed a surprised look.

He Yan placed the bottle of milk on his table and returned to his seat near the back.

Yu Baizhou picked up the milk on the table and chased He Yan all the way back to the other’s seat, asking in a slightly excited voice, “Did you buy this for me?”

He Yan looked at him. “En.”

Hearing this, Yu Baizhou felt incredibly happy in his heart.

He restrained his feelings and retained a calm face. “Thank you.”

There was no change in expression from He Yan, but he felt some lightness in his heart.

Thinking of the previous matter, he said to Yu Baizhou, “Right, with what happened in the cafeteria, thank you.”

Yu Baizhou generously waved a hand, “Ah, that was just a small matter.”

Anyway, it was originally Yi Tian who started it, tripping him over was already letting him off lightly.

He Yan stared at Yu Baizhou and wanted to say something, but after thinking about it, decided to stay silent.

The second period in the afternoon was outdoor physical education. Yu Baizhou had wanted to relax freely, but he didn’t expect to be unlucky enough to encounter Yi Tian.

While Tu Gaoming held a basketball and searched for a free court with the others, they saw Yi Tian and his party approaching.

Yu Baizhou wanted to walk directly pass them as if Yi Tian was invisible, but the other person deliberately ran into his shoulder with an intensity that was not-at-all small.

Yu Baizhou had taken another two steps when Yi Tian shouted at him. Yu Baizhou stopped.

Yi Tian’s voice came from behind, “Find a court? Together? “

Yu Baizhou understood the meaning. On the surface, it was an invitation, and behind it was a provocation.

Yi Tian came for him because of what happened at noon.

There were many people on the basketball court. Seeing movement around a certain group, a crowd was gathered quickly.

Pan Yi was also in this physical education class. He and He Yan had just entered the courts when they saw a group of people a small distance away.

Pan Yi looked like he came across an entertaining show. “Ze*, there’s a basketball match to see.”

[T/N: ‘tut’ sound]

He Yan turned to him. “How do you know?”

Pan Yi replied, “For high school students, as long as there’s a group of people gathered, it means there is either a fight or a game. Since there are so many teachers here, the chances for a fight is small, and since it’s also a basketball court, you can tell at a glance that they’re competing their ball skills…wait, why are you looking at me like that?”

He Yan: “I’m just surprised to see that you can still understand these things.”

Pan Yi: “…”

Pan Yi had a heart full of curiosity and gossip, and wanted to join the lively crowd. He Yan was not interested. He pressed down on the brim of his cap and refused Pan Yi’s invitation, then went to the resting lounge at the side of the courts.

However, within a few moments of entering the lounge, He Yan heard rapid footsteps outside the door. The door was slammed open, revealing Pan Yi at the entrance. “Fuck, it really is a basketball game, and the starring players are even Yu Baizhou and Yi Tian!”

He Yan’s expression changed.

On the court, Yu Baizhou was bent over, two hands pressed on his thighs and sweat dripping down his forehead non-stop.

There were colics* in his stomach.

[T/N: pain from food stuck in the intestines]

He probably ate the wrong thing for lunch.

He swept his eyes outside the court and found no shadow of He Yan anywhere.

Really*, he wanted to perform the show in front of the other, but in the end, he didn’t even know where that person went during class.

[T/N: more like a ‘I can’t believe this’]

Really want to beat him up.

Yi Tian, who had just scored a point, hooked up a corner of his mouth and goaded Yu Baizhou in front of him. “Isn’t Yu-shao brilliant at basketball? Why are you already out of it a few minutes in?”

Yu Baizhou suppressed his stomachache and stood up. “You’re the one out of it, your entire family is out of it.”

Yi Tian’s face became a little ugly. He replied darkly, “You sure have a hard mouth*.”

[T/N: blunt with your words]

When it came to the next tip-off, Tu Gaoming saw that Yu Baizhou’s face was not that good and asked anxiously, “Boss, anything wrong? “

Yu Baizhou’s stomach had calmed down a little during the short resting period. He exhaled and felt that he could still persevere. “Nothing’s wrong, let’s play well.”

Tu Gaoming hesitated for a bit, then nodded.

Since Yu Baizhou was currently at a disadvantage, and Yi Tian stole three more points from him.

Yi Tian and his team worked very well with one another. They could always intercept the ball from their hands, then immediately throw it into their hoop.

The sun above them shone strongly. The sweat on Yu Baizhou’s face dripped more and more.

He watched the difference between the scores become bigger and bigger. This can’t do. If this continued, then his family* will definitely lose.

[T/N: him and his brothers]

He looked on as an opponent dribbled the ball and passed to Yi Tian’s hand. Yi Tian received the ball and ran to take a jump shot. Yu Baizhou’s eyes narrowed. He used his fastest speed to rush over with two steps and took advantage of his height to intercept the ball mid-air.

Landing, he dribbled the ball and bypassed Yi Tian, throwing the ball to an unguarded player on his side.

Yu Baizhou’s skills were not bad, and coupled with the original owner’s blessed physical state, the series of movements were all very smooth.

Yi Tian watched on as the chance to score slipped through his fingers. He cursed, then went up to defend Yu Baizhou.

Yu Baizhou threw the ball into the hoop, adding another two points.

As they began another match, Yu Baizhou watched as Yi Tian tried to defend against him, clicked his tongue mentally, then side-stepped him into another area.

Yu Baizhou walked along the side, subconsciously eyeing the side of the courts. When he saw an extremely prominent face poking out from the crowd, a light shone in his eyes.

It was He Yan.

Okay, he must perform well right now.

The game continued, and the gap between the scores of the two sides gradually decreased.

The basketball travelled in a circle on edge of the hoop and fell through the centre. A successful point. Yu Baizhou withdrew his hand, face full of satisfaction.

Tu Gaoming stared at his boss, who had scored three goals in a row, with a look of admiration.

The person who was weak just a few moments ago, now acted like he had been injected with chicken blood*!

[T/N: a sudden boost of energy, based on an old Chinese belief where if you inject chicken blood in your system, it will make you more energetic]

The little sisters outside the court were about to faint just by witnessing Yu Baizhou’s skills on the court.

Not only was he brilliant at playing, even shooting and getting rebounds made him look super handsome!

Yi Tian grew anxious and began to tighten the defense on the other team, focusing especially on blocking off Yu Baizhou.

But it was all in vain. If his family had one hundred ways to defend Yu Baizhou, Yu Baizhou had one hundred ways to get around and steal the ball.

The whistle sounded and the game was over. Yu Baizhou’s team had scored 10 points more than Yi Tian’s.

The losing Yi Tian slammed the ball into the ground. Yu Baizhou wore a smug look.

See? You said that I was out of it, but in the end, wasn’t it you and your entire family who was out of it? Oh, wait, except for He Yan.

Li Bei, who had watched a good show outside, wore a smile on his face. He kept his eyes on Yu Baizhou, who was headed off-court. He said something to a younger brother beside him and took a carton of apple juice over to the side of the court.

Yu Baizhou had pissed off Yi Tian so much that the other’s bad mood could last the rest of the day. He took his people and left the court.

In the meantime, Yu Baizhou glanced in a certain direction among the crowd. With this glance, he made eye contact with the person standing there.

Yu Baizhou lifted the corner of his lips, but withdrew his eyes the next second.

In the direction he had looked at, came the screams of countless little sisters.

“I saw Yu-shao laugh!!!”

“So handsome, ahhhhh!!!”

“Male god wu wu wu!!!”

Yi Tian looked back at the scene starring Yu Baizhou. His teeth clenched unconsciously.

“…Just wait and see!”

Yu Baizhou took his group off the court to rest.

Although they were underneath the shade of a tree, the branches and leaves were sparse and could not completely shield them from the scorching hot sun. Yu Baizhou used a wet wipe to clean off the sweat on his forehead. He was born with naturally thin skin and running around under the sun for a long time made his cheeks red and tingling. Even after wiping down his face, there was still a tingling sensation.

Yu Baizhou was feeling slightly uncomfortable when he felt a cap fitted on his head. He turned around and saw He Yan’s hand, which was just retreating. A gust of wind blew under the tree and past the people. The hat was a little too big and the wind was also a little too strong. He raised a hand to press down on the cap and turned his head to give He Yan a grin.

At that moment, a certain emotion deep in He Yan’s heart bloomed.
