TSIFB Chapter 25

穿成校草被迫营业 / Transmigrated into a School Idol and Forced to Do Business
Prove it to me

The younger brother by Yi Tian’s side saw how his big brother had been reduced to such a miserable state and gritted his teeth before charging towards Yu Baizhou.

Tu Gaoming twisted his neck and took a step forward, grabbing the boy’s fist that was heading to Yu Baizhou, then lifted a leg to kick his abdomen. The boy let out a painful yelp and was knocked to the ground.

Another person rushed up from the side towards Tu Gaoming. Seeing this, Che Cong grabbed a half-full of the bottle of some drink from a nearby table and slammed it straight into the head of the other party. That person was unguarded and toppled over onto the floor.

Withdrawing his hand, Che Cong straightened his glasses that had become crooked on his face, then politely said to the owner of the drink, a stunned girl at the table, “I’m very sorry, I was just borrowing it for the time being.”

The girl was already scared to the point of becoming mute.

The entire cafeteria had fallen into chaos and more and more people were coming to surround them.

The muscles on Yi Tian’s cheeks were tightly wounded. He raised his hands to remove all the residue on his head, his eyes having already become bright scarlet.

“Apologise,” Yu Baizhou said from behind.

Yi Tian tightly clenched his jaws and stood up from his seat. The leftover soup followed his movements and flowed along his hair and spilt onto his shoulders. His appearance became even worse. “Yu Baizhou, you are fucking dead!”

After Yi Tian finished his sentence, he lifted a fist and swung it to the back of Yu Baizhou’s head.

Opposite them, He Yan’s eyes narrowed dangerously. His back had already left the chair.

The expression on Yu Baizhou’s face did not change and his eyelashes didn’t even blink once. He just calmly took his phone out of his uniform’s pocket, then turned the screen towards Yi Tian.

Once Yi Tian scanned through the contents on the phone, his eyebrows immediately tightened and his fists suddenly stopped only just a few centimeters away from Yu Baizhou’s nose.

A video was playing on Yu Baizhou’s phone. The content was of Yi Tian’s earlier interaction with He Yan, more specifically, the moment when he violently kicked over the table.

The video was not very clear because it was taken from a distance as well as being enlarged, but despite that, as long as one concentrated carefully, they could still see that the person who kicked over the table was Yi Tian. Even if this wasn’t enough, standing beside Yi Tian were his three followers who had the front and side views of their faces recorded on camera. The existence of the three people made this the best evidence against Yi Tian.

Yu Baizhou eyed the fist that had stopped just before the tip of his nose, slightly disgusted, and extended a finger to swipe away the fist. Then he eyed Yi Tian and spoke with a relaxed tone, “The son of the richest man in A city relies on his father’s standing to run rampant in school, maliciously bullying his classmates… Say, if this video is spread outside, will it negatively affect the Yi family’s reputation?”

Hearing this, Yi Tian’s face stiffened.

Opposite them, He Yan relaxed with a quiet sigh, and the fists in his pockets were unfurled again.

Yu Baizhou was well aware of Yi Tian’s weakness.

The Yi family was very prominent in A city. As the richest man in A city, Yi Haixiang attaches great importance to the management of his family’s external image. Not only is he strict with himself, he is also very strict with everyone else in the family.

Especially Yi Tian. Since Yi Tian was his only son, as long as he appeared in public, his son would be a representation of his image as well as the image of the entire family.

Therefore, Yi Haixiang’s teachings were very strict and he would never condone Yi Tian causing trouble in school. The only reason why Yi Tian was still able to rampage in the school like now was because of his mother helping him behind-the-scenes to hide the aftermath.

Even if the matter had turned into a huge scene, the report that was sent to his father would only mention how it was just a small scuffle. However, if the news really spreads outside and damages the image of the Yi family, then Yi Tian would be finished.

Yi Tian knew his situation well, so he never dared to do things too outrageously.

Of course, it wasn’t as if Yi Tian had never been caught by others in the past. However, no one ever dared to treat him like the way he was being threatened now since they all put the Yi family’s status at the front of their minds.

But even if those people didn’t dare, he dared.

Although the Yi family had power in A city, the Yu family and them have a business cooperation, and the funds involved were very large. Moreover, since the Yi family were receiving the biggest benefits, they wouldn’t come out to deal with the Yu family over such a tiny issue.

Similarly, if he really released this video today, Yi Tian still wouldn’t dare to offend him.

Yi Tian stretched out his hand to snatch the phone, but before he could touch it, Yu Baizhou quickly withdrew his hand.

Yi Tian gritted through his teeth, “Give me the phone!”

Yu Baizhou showed a little helplessness. “This is my phone, why should I give it to you?”

Yi Tian lowered his voice. “Yu Baizhou…”

Yu Baizhou thought in his heart, ‘even if you call me grandpa right now, it’ll still be useless’.

Inside Yi Tian’s chest grew large fire but he had no way of extinguishing it.

Yu Baizhou held up his phone. “It’s not impossible to hand it over to you, but first, you have to apologise to He Yan, then promise me on a condition.”

“…On what condition?”

Yu Baizhou’s tone was stricter by a few points. “In the future, just worry about your image as a dandy*. Don’t provoke He Yan ever again.”

[T/N: “公子哥”: pampered son of a wealthy family]

Yi Tian barked out a laugh, somewhat unbelieving. “Yu Baizhou, how involved is He Yan with you that makes you want you to protect him so much?”

Oppositely, He Yan, who was carefully watching Yu Baizhou, furrowed his eyebrows slightly.

Yu Baizhou played with the phone in his hand. “Stop talking about nonsense. Just tell me if you agree to the conditions or not.”

Yi Tian face had nothing but discontent, but when he thought about the possible consequences that would occur if the video was spread outside, in the end he had no other choice but to reluctantly say, “Fine, I agree.”

Yu Baizhou listened in on Yi Tian’s apology to He Yan before handing over the phone, then sidestepped Yi Tian to walk over to He Yan.

After Yi Tian received the phone, he immediately deleted the video, then twitched the corners of his mouth. He laughed at Yu Baizhou’s naivety in his heart.

Yu Baizhou had already anticipated this, and glanced back. “Oh, right, don’t get comfortable thinking that it’s deleted forever. I still have a copy of that video in the cloud drive…so you better remember the conditions you agreed on in terms of the exchange. Otherwise, I can’t guarantee what day I’ll be in a good mood to post it online. Maybe I’ll buy a hot search* on the way.”

[T/N: pay to make it a trending topic]

Yi Tian froze for a second, then smashed the phone down into the ground, “Fuck!”

Yu Baizhou ignored the anxious Yi Tian and brought He Yan out of the cafeteria without a care.

Behind the cafeteria was a grassy field, and beside it was a small pathway. Other than the cafeteria staff, there were only a few people passing by, and the environment was very quiet.

Yu Baizhou handed the frosty ice cream that he had just bought over to He Yan.

When the table was kicked over by Yi Tian some minutes before, the hot water on the table had spilt onto He Yan’s hand and there was a patch of skin between the back of his hand and his wrist that was burned to the point of reddening.

Yu Baizhou squatted down next to He Yan. “You should’ve told me earlier. I could have followed Yi Tian and solved the problem*. You don’t have to endure it all the time anymore.”

[T/N: “速战速决”: (fought a) quick battle]

He Yan took the ice cream that was still unpacked and placed it on the back of his hand. “It doesn’t matter.”

His tone was very indifferent*, as if he didn’t care for this minor injury.

[T/N: can mean light, or weak]

But in Yu Baizhou’s ears, he just felt as if the other was putting up a front.

Although it wasn’t too serious, he was burned until his skin turned red, which would definitely be unbearable.

Even just seeing it was unbearable.

He Yan saw Yu Baizhou staring worriedly at the red patch on the back of his hand, then smiled. “Don’t worry, it doesn’t hurt.”

Yu Baizhou pouted. He already knew that He Yan was lying.

He Yan recalled the scuffle in the cafeteria just now and thought of the phone that had been smashed in one go by Yi Tian. He said, “Right, your phone…”

Once the topic of his phone was brought up, Yu Baizhou instantly languished. “Don’t talk to me about my phone. If we start now, I’ll just get the urge to run back into the cafeteria to beat up Yi Tian, that bastard.”

Yi Tian, that little kid, had actually smashed his phone without saying a word. Was it his? What that phone his? That was a brand new phone that Fu Xia had bought him two days ago, ah!

He Yan looked at Yu Baizhou’s irritated and sorrowful appearance. Although he knew that now was not the appropriate time, his heart still couldn’t help but think that this person was a little too adorable.

He picked up the ice cream on his hand and dropped it aside, saying with a softened voice, “What type do you like, I’ll buy a new one for you.”

Yu Baizhou looked like he wanted to cry. “Forget it, what are you gonna buy ya? You don’t even have more pocket money than me.”

He Yan paused for a moment, then laughed.

Yu Baizhou knew He Yan’s family situation. He Yan’s life was already hard enough, where could he possibly find spare money to buy him a brand new phone?

He sighed, thinking that He Yan wanted to take responsibility because he felt guilty. So, in order not to let He Yan bear the psychological burden, he raised his hand and patted He Yan on the shoulder. “It’s fine, don’t think too much about it. As far as our relationship is concerned, there’s no distinction between you and me.”

A few additional emotions popped up in He Yan’s eyes. In a calm voice, he said, “Our relationship?”

Yu Baizhou: “…”

Yu Baizhou heard this and immediately realised that He Yan wanted to test him again.

He Yan still wasn’t certain if Yu Baizhou was actually drunk that night. If the other said he was drunk, then he behaved too abnormally, but if he wasn’t drunk, then why did Yu Baizhou deliberately avoid him during these past two days? Even when it was just their eyes meeting, the other would quickly turn away on purpose.

This was not the first psychological battle He Yan has fought with another. Even if the opponents he had faced in the past were all countless times more powerful than the teenager before him, he has never lost.

But, this time alone, he wanted to take the initiative and be defeated*.

[T/N: “he wanted to back down.”]

He Yan was fixated on the person in front of him. “Yu Baizhou, actually, that night, you and I…”

Yu Baizhou didn’t wait for him to finish, confidently raising his hand to stop the other. “I know, I already know.”

This time, Yu Baizhou didn’t lie. He really knew.

He Yan looked at him.

Neither of them wore the outer jackets that was part of their school unifrom. He Yan’s one was dirtied by Yi Tian in the cafeteria while Yu Baizhou was just hot.

The two were very close together. Their arms under the short sleeves would touch if either of them made even the tiniest of movements.

He Yan withdrew his arm by a centimetre, Yu Baizhou inched over his by a centimetre. He Yan moved two centimetres, Yu Baizhou followed over by two centimetres. In the end, He Yan gave up.

Yu Baizhou looked at He Yan’s pair of slightly hesitant eyes. Wasn’t this just plainly saying he didn’t believe* him?

[T/N: can also mean trust, but ‘believe’ is already a recurring word between the two, so I used it]

But it doesn’t matter because this time, he was more confident than ever before.

Yu Baizhou supported one hand on the ground and slightly leaned his body toward He Yan. His face crept closer to He Yan, fixedly gazing at He Yan’s pair of beautiful eyes. “Classmate He Yan, take a good look at these sincere eyes. Are they not worthy of your trust?”

The two were too close together, close enough for their breaths to almost intertwine.

There was a very light breeze in He Yan’s heart.

He Yan watched the pure* and clear eyes in front of him. This time, Yu Baizhou did not hide.

[T/N: clean]

Seeing He Yan’s reaction, Yu Baizhou felt that He Yan had finally believed him. He triumphantly said, “How about it? You can see it, ba? En?”

He Yan did not reply.

Yu Baizhou smiled, already assuming that He Yan believed him, and began to lean back again.

But just as he started to move, before his face had the time to be fully retracted, his chin was firmly held on both sides with cold fingers.

“Yu Baizhou, take action and prove it to me.”

  6. I really don’t mind miscommunication/misunderstanding trope as long as when someone learn the truth they come clean or explain it to the other and not let the other look like a fool.

    thanks for the chapter~
